The Apple Store in Atlanta’s Lenox Mall is apparently getting a big upgrade.

An illustration of a new store coming to this high-end mall has surfaced, and while it doesn’t yet have an Apple logo, the company’s familiar design is very much in evidence.

Trees, exposed wood, and huge glass panels are very much in evidence. These are all elements in recently-opened Apple Stores around the world.

Add in earlier rumors that Apple is planning a new store in Lenox Mall and it seems a safe bet that this will soon be a spot to purchase an iPhone, Mac, or iPad.

More about the next Atlanta Apple Store

The design shown at a recent Buckhead Development Review Committee meeting is for a two-story space with stone walls.  It will be located on the exterior of the building, near the entrance off Peachtree Road.

When it opens, there will likely be a large screen for Today at Apple teaching eventsThis is part of the company’s goal to make such places less retail stores and more town squares where people can come visit.

The facility will apparently replace the current  single-story Apple Store inside Lenox Mall.
