olloclip Connect X lenses will now fit on the iPhone XR and XS models thanks to new mounting clips rolled out today.

The release of dedicated clips for Apple’s latest flagship handsets comes two weeks after olloclip announced new Pro and intro lenses in the Connect X line-up. The new lenses were designed after the release of the iPhone X to cover larger image sensors.

Even on dual-lens cameras like the iPhone XS and XS Max, mobile photographers like to expand the view of native cameras with lens attachments. Companies like olloclip have to be nimble and retool their products as smartphones add bigger sensors and more lenses.

The Pro Telephoto lens announced this month won’t be available until early next year so that engineers can tweak the design to accommodate the wider field of view on the new phones.

“We take pride in our ability to quickly adapt to new technology and in turn over compatible products to our customers with a reasonable amount of time,” olloclip’s global sales director Tod Williams said in a written statement. “The three new iPhone clips ensure that consumers can seamlessly capture the perfect group selfie or panoramic view as soon as they have a new iPhone.”

The new clips expand to be compatible with screen protectors to align with both front and rear cameras. olloclip’s mounting system is the most unique in the space with single clips that hold lenses for both front and back cameras.

The iPhone XR clip runs $19.99 on the olloclip website, while the clips for the XS and XS Max are 29.99. Shipping will begin Dec. 7.

There are eight lenses at a variety of focal lengths and prices points in the Connect X lineup.
