The new iPhone XR sure is nice. With a large, drool-worthy Liquid Retina display, and a lightweight aluminum build sporting a bunch of new colors, they’re worth showing off. Unfortunately, they also carry a steep price. You’d be smart to get a tough case — but not one that obscures their beautiful design.

Each and every iPhone represents a careful balance of form and function, so it’s a shame to cover them up. Going without a case definitely allows the iPhone’s original design to shine through. But obviously, going bareback also proves way more likely to leave your pricey device scratched, dented or cracked.

With an all-glass phone like the iPhone XR, that’s an especially big risk. The best compromise is a case that’s protective but also basically invisible.

Show off your iPhone XR

Totallee makes a case for the new iPhone XR (as well as ones for iPhone XS and its giant cousin, the iPhone XS Max). The company has been making great iPhone accessories since 2013, and these are no exception. Each Totallee iPhone case is super-thin and light, measuring just 0.02 inches and weighing just 0.01 ounces. They’re also free of any annoying branding, allowing the gorgeous gadget’s underlying features to shine through.

You can choose from transparent cases that are basically invisible to sight and touch. Totallee’s glossy clear case for iPhone XR is made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). That means they’re tough, able to absorb most dings and drops, but also surprisingly flexible. Plus, they won’t take on that yellow, unbrushed-teeth look over time.

Totallee's iPhone XR cases are available in totally transparent or colored hues, with glossy, textured, and leather finishes.

You can also opt for cases sporting hues that enhance the device’s native color, complementing iPhone XR’s new tones. The cases are also available in glossy or matte finishes, as well as leather for the more dapper among us.

Every case sports a raised lip around the rear-facing camera, keeping the lens safe when the phone lies face-up on a table or desk. A microscopic stippled texture keeps ugly watermarks away from the glass backing of the 2018 iPhones, while adding extra grip that makes the phone less likely to drop anyway.

All of this adds up to a case that protects the new iPhones without obscuring them or adding a bunch of bulk.

You can see Totallee’s entire collection of iPhone cases on the company’s website. Standard cases go for just $29, while the premium leather-backed cases will cost you $39. They’re also available on Amazon, with fast shipping. Each case includes a two-year warranty.

To show off your shiny new iPhone while keeping it protected, Totallee is the clear choice.
