An iPhone gravestone spotted in Russia marks the final resting place of a young woman who reportedly worked in an Apple retail position.
A video posted online shows the iPhone-inspired grave marker. The unique monument boasts an Apple logo, side buttons and an image of the deceased 25-year-old on the screen. It’s the ultimate tribute to an Apple fan!
Apple has some pretty ardent admirers around the world, but few can compare to the iPhone gravestone in a cemetery in Ufa, the capital city of Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan.
Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda reported on the grave marker. And The Straits Times posted a video showing the astoundingly detailed iPhone gravestone. The memorial appears to bear a QR code as well. (Gravestones increasingly use QR codes to pay tribute to the dead.)
The video blurs out the deceased woman’s name, but an inscription shows she passed away in 2016. However, it’s not clear if the iPhone gravestone was just installed or has only recently been noticed by the press.
Another Apple gravestone
This isn’t the only Apple-themed gravestone we’ve seen. Back in 2013, a deceased 21-year-old programmer and Apple fan received an Apple-themed tombstone that featured the company’s famous logo.
It’s pretty cool to see what a massive part Apple has played in some people’s lives.
