Apple has already nailed down the lead role for its upcoming TV show about a young girl who solves a local murder mystery.

8-year-old Brooklynn Prince from The Florida Project has been cast to play Hilde Lysiak after Apple just recently secured the rights to turn her life story into a TV show.

Lysiak was 9 years old when she exposed a cold murder case in her small hometown. In Pennsylvania. She broke the news in the local newspaper she created because the town didn’t have one.

The TV show based on Lysiak’s story will be ten episodes long. Jon M. Chu, who was behind Crazy Rich Asians, is set to direct and executive produce the show.

This will be Prince’s first appearance in a TV show. Her breakout performance in The Florida Project last year earned tons of accolades, including Oscar and Golden Globe nominations.

Apple currently has over a dozen other TV shows in development. The company has tapped some of the biggest names in entertainment to makes shows for it. Spielberg, Kevin Durant, M. Night Shamalyan, Reese Witherspoon, Jason Moara and many more are attached to projects in the works.
