PUBG’s mission to fight back against Fortnite continues today with a massive update that brings a whole host of awesome new content to mobile.

Players can enjoy a fast-paced War mode and a brand new sniper rifle, join clans, chat with friends, earn new achievements, and lots more.

If you’re a long-time battle royale fan, you’ll know PUBG landed long before Fortnite came along and blew everything else out of the water. It might not be the biggest game in the genre anymore, but it’s far from irrelevant.

For fans of more realistic shooters, PUBG remains the ultimate battle royale experience. And on mobile, big updates keep coming to make it even better.

PUBG Mobile picks up stacks of new content

The latest, version 0.7.0, is a whopping 2.2GB download on iOS. It adds a fast-past variation of Arcade mode called War, as well as the brand new SLR sniper rifle and a bunch of challenging new objectives.

It also adds support for team chat and clans, with a Clan Shop and special missions, and players can view regional rankings to see who’s best.

Other additions include the ability to “like” other players after each match, redesigned menus and shop interfaces, improved character animations, and support for multiple crate purchases.

You can find the full patch notes in the App Store now, where the latest version of PUBG Mobile is available to download. It’s completely free to play so you don’t have to spend a penny to get started.
