Two franchises I love, Power Rangers and Street Fighter are crossing over for team-based real-time mobile fighting game, Power Rangers: Legacy Wars.

If you’ve been waiting since the 1990s to pit Chun-Li against the Pink Ranger or Akuma against Lord Zedd, today is your lucky day. Check out the action-packed trailer below.

It’s Morphin’ time

“The collaboration between Power Rangers and Street Fighter feels like a dream to me,” said Yoshinori Ono, executive producer at Capcom. “The Rangers series that I also grew up watching as a kid have crossed overseas, became Power Rangers, and is now well received by all ages. I can’t contain my excitement just thinking about the idea of our Street Fighter characters moving about in that world.”

The Capcom characters aren’t all debuting immediately, though. From today, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile and Akuma can be added into the game. They bring their animations, character models, combos and abilities from Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, meaning that you’ll have no problem utilizing Ryu’s Shoryuken or Akuma’s Zanku Hadoken as part of your battle experience.

From June 1, Cammy will then join the crew, followed by M. Bison on June 15. Each of the new characters can be used for free while playing the limited time challenges, although you can also purchase them for $4.99 or by opening in-game Morph Boxes and collecting character shards.

For those who haven’t played it before, Power Rangers: Legacy Wars is a surprising amount of fun. Not only does it contain more strategic gameplay than you might expect and solid team fighting dynamic, but it’s also packed full of Power Rangers fan service.

That means more than 40+ recognizable characters, costumes and locations taken from throughout the series’ 25-year history.

You can download it for free from the App Store.
