Apply now for the 2018 class of the Apple Developer Academy to learn to create iOS apps. And did we mention you get to live in Naples? And it’s free?

This isn’t a basic bootcamp. In addition to learning Swift programming and user interface design, students are taught how to be an entrepreneur.

The Apple Developer Academy uses Challenge Based Learning (CBL). This is a multidisciplinary approach that “encourages students to leverage the technology they use in their daily lives to solve real-world problems,” according to the school.

All of this happens at the San Giovanni a Teduccio campus, which is tied to the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Despite its Italian location, all classes take place in English.

Nevertheless, most of the students are Italian, but Apple is working hard to expand the nationalities of its students. The required evaluation test is being given this summer in London, Paris, Munich, and, of course, Naples.

Unfortunately, this means people from the U.S. and other remote locations must travel to Europe to apply. And while the school is free, travel expenses are not included.

A video prepared by the Apple Developer Academy lets current students talk about their experiences:

A “Standard Class” consisting of 342 students will be enrolled for 2018, while an additional 36 will be in the “Enterprise Track”. The regular course of study requires only a high school diploma, while the Enterprise version requires either an IT degree or any college degree and two years of IT experience.

The Apple Developer Academy is accepting applications now on its website.
