Have you lusted after those new iMacs with the 27-inch LED screens, but already have a MacBook – or even Mac mini? Well, Apple must have heard your pleas, because Tuesday the Cupertino, Calif. company unveiled a 27-inch LED display compatible with all Macs — for just $999.

Along with a 2560×1440 resolution, the Cinema Display includes a built-in iSight video camera, microphone, USB hub, speakers and more. The unit includes built-in MagSafe charging for MacBook and MacBook Pro owners. Another included feature is Mini DisplayPort connectivity. The built-in USB hub also means you can recharge your iPhone or iPod just by plugging it into your Mac’s monitor.

“With its massive 2560×1440 resolution, the new 27-inch LED Cinema Display is a perfect fit with our powerful new Mac Pro, and it gives iMac users an easy way to double their screen real estate,” Apple Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller, said.

The new LED display is available in September.
