Looking for some good cover-based, team-oriented third person blasting action to help you get through the remaining three days until the weekend? No problem: one such game, titled Hero Hunters, just stormed its way into the App Store.

And it looks pretty darn great! Check out the action packed trailer below.

While we’ve not had the chance to put the game properly through its paces, it definitely looks a whole lot of fun. You take up to five characters into battle, and are able to switch between them at will, allowing you to pursue just the right strategy, set of skills or weaponry at just the right time.

There are a total of 40 characters to unlock, all of whom have their own abilities, strengths and weaknesses. That should give a fair bit of replayability, as you try out different combinations and characters. There’s also a full single-player campaign and various online modes. Unfortunately, it’s free-to-play, which means that there are plenty of in-app purchases available, though.

You can download the game from the App Store, where it’s available for any iOS device running iOS 9.0 or above. Hopefully I’ll have had the opportunity to properly dive into this title by the time I come to do my “Awesome Apps” roundup this weekend.
