Apple exec Eddy Cue joins SXSW 2018 speaker lineup

The 2018 SXSW Conference is adding a fresh crop of faces to its speaker lineup this year, including one of Apple’s most popular executives.

Apple media boss Eddy Cue is set to make an appearance at the annual conference that’s a celebration of music, tech, movies and TV. All of which are areas Apple is planning to dominate in 2018.

This year’s event will be the first time at Apple executive has spoken at SXSW. CNN’s Dylan Byers will sit down with Cue on stage for the interview that will likely cover Apple Music as well as Apple’s foray into original TV shows.

In addition to Eddy Cue, SXSW has added the following speakers to its lineup: Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, Girls creator Lena Dunham, Ethan Hawke, Spike Lee, the cast of Westworld, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, Darren Aronofsky, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Barry Jenkins and Melinda Gates.

The date and time for Eddy Cue’s session still haven’t been determined. SXSW will release the film and episode lineup for the festival on Jan. 31.
