DirectTV Now is offering a free Apple TV 4K to customers who sign up for fourth months of its streaming TV service for an upfront cost of $140.

The model being given away as part of the offer is an entry level 32GB Apple TV 4K, which usually retails at $179.

Direct TV’s monthly “Live a Little” package costs $35 per month, while higher tier versions are available for $50, $60, and $70 increments — with each offering additional channels.

The Apple TV 4K offer is open to new DirecTV customers only, although if you are an existing customer and you speak nicely to a representative of the company, maybe there’s still a way to get your free Apple set-top box.

Apple’s best set-top box yet

The new Apple TV 4K was shown off for the first time back in September. In addition to 4K (although DirecTV’s service does not offer this), it packs the same A10X Fusion processor found in the newest iPad Pro, along with 3GB of RAM. This is an upgrade on the A8 chip and 2 GB RAM found in the previous Apple TV.

Another plus point of the device is that it will automatically upgrade your previous iTunes TV and movie purchases to 4K quality for no extra cost.
