The new iPhone 8 isn’t just the most beautiful phone Apple has ever made. It’s also one of the toughest ever.

iPhone 8 buyers have already put the new device through a number of torture tests after it went on sale across the globe this morning. Even though the new design sports glass in the front back, early stress tests have shown its more durable than the iPhone 7 in bend test.

Another YouTube did a speed test pitting the iPhone 8 against the iPhone 7. The two devices opened apps at about the same rate. However, Geekbench test scores show that the A11 processor in the iPhone 8 is on par with Intel processors found in the latest 13-inch MacBook Pro.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus went on sale today around the world. Lines for the new phones at Apple stores were surprisingly small compared to iPhone queues in past years. The new iPhones are still in steady supply on Apple’s website too as many customers are waiting for the release of the iPhone X next month.
