Apple Pay is getting more loyalty cards for a number of major U.S. restaurant chains later this year.

MOD Pizza, Quiznos, and Smashburger are just a few of the names coming to your Wallet app.

Wallet picked up support for loyalty cards with iOS 8.1 in October 2014. Since then, its list of supporters has grown significantly, but plenty of big names are still missing. Punchh is one company working to change that.

The cloud platform handles marketing for over 85 food and drink chains in the U.S., including the likes of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, El Pollo Loco, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Pielogy, and those mentioned above.

In a press release issued today, Punchh confirmed plans to introduce loyalty cards to Wallet for many of these names. In participating restaurants, customers will earn points automatically when they pay for their order with Apple Pay.

“Consumers expect rich, digital experiences when they engage with the brands they love, and that includes being able to pay with their iPhone,” said Shyam Rao, CEO, Punchh.

“By offering Apple Pay with Punchh-powered restaurant loyalty programs, we are not just facilitating a faster, easier and more secure method of payment to the industry, but enabling restaurants to tailor their experience in a way that drives increased visits and sales.”

Punchh calls the move an “industry game changer.” We’re not so sure about that, but if you frequent one of these restaurants, it will certainly be welcome news.

MOD Pizza, Quiznos, and Smashburger will be the first to offer Wallet loyalty cards, starting “later this year.” You’ll be prompted to join the loyalty scheme at the register, and you will instantly start earning points when you pay with Apple Pay.
