They call it "The Shelf".

Apple hasn’t exactly given the iPad first priority when it comes to iOS updates, but that could change next month at WWDC where the company is expected to unveil iOS 11.

Most of the iOS 11 concepts we’ve seen have been all about the iPhone, but iPad power-user Federico Viticci and Sam Beckett created a beautiful concept that shows some big and simple changes that would transform the iPad from a fun tablet into a pro machine. Features like Finder, Drag and Drop between apps, multi-channel audio and more are on display in the fantastic mockup.

Apple, if you’re reading this, please steal these features:

The opening keynote for WWDC is just over two weeks away, so if Apple hasn’t already started working on features like the Shelf, there’s zero chance we’ll get it this year. Rumors about features coming in iOS 11 have been pretty slim, so we’re still not sure what to expect at this year’s event.

Other software that will likely be introduced at WWDC 2017 includes macOS 10.13, tvOS 11 and watchOS 4. This year’ event could also include new MacBooks and MacBook Pros, though the new machines are only expected to feature internal upgrades.

I’am freelancing on-the-web, accomplishing basic jobs that merely needs from you computer or simply laptop and internet access and so I couldn’t be cheerful… Six months have passed since i initiated this and also i gained up to now altogether 36 thousand dollars… Basically i make profit almost 80 bucks/hour and work for 3 to four h on daily basis. And great thing about this job is that you are able to make a decision when to work yourself as well as for how long and you get money after the end of every week.>>>> S.ID/2hh

Normally I balk at UI mockups simply because very few of them are done by people with any knowledge of UI/X development. But this tickles me in all the right ways. The fast app switcher… holy fuck, there is NO excuse for the way that Apple does it now. It’s complete garbage. THIS is amazing. I like the idea of the drag and drop of any element and REALLY like the idea of “pinning” which seems to be a massively expanded clipboard (rather than just ONE copy/paste target). OS X should get that, too.
