The new MacBook Pro apparently has been great business for Apple rival Microsoft.

Mac users are switching to Microsoft’s Surface more than ever before, claims the PC-maker in a new blog post that takes several shots at Apple’s new MacBook Pro and Touch Bar.

“Our trade-in program for MacBooks was our best ever, and the combination of excitement for the innovation of Surface coupled with the disappointment of the new MacBook Pro – especially among professionals – is leading more and more people to make the switch to Surface, like this,” writes Brian Hall, Microsoft VP of devices marketing. “It seems like a new review recommending Surface over MacBook comes out daily. This makes our team so proud, because it means we’re doing good work.”

MacBook Pro problems?

Despite the harsh criticism from Microsoft, Apple has said the new MacBook Pro is its most pre-ordered MacBook Pro ever. Apple has supposedly increased supply chain orders due to the unexpectedly high demand.

Concerns about less-than-mindblowing performance aside, some users have reported problems with the pricey new MacBook Pro, including glitchy video and ridiculously short battery life.

Microsoft launched a promotion earlier this year offering MacBook users up to $650 to trade in their Apple machines for a Surface Book or Surface Pro 4. And in October, Microsoft revealed the new Surface Studio, a giant touchscreen PC, as its first rival for the iMac.
