Super Mario Run, the game that will finally bring everyone’s favorite plumber to iOS, will be available to download from the App Store on December 15. The game will be free to download, while a single in-app purchase will unlock all available content.

Announced at Apple’s big iPhone 7 event back in September, Super Mario Run has been specifically designed for mobile devices. It uses the endless runner mechanic we’re all familiar with by now, but with three different game modes Mario fans are sure to love.

The easy controls let you jump over obstacles, avoid enemies, collect coins, and reach the flagpole at the end of each course with a simple tap on the screen.

“The wait is almost over for a Super Mario game that can be played on mobile devices,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

“Developed under the direction of Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Super Mario Run brings a new take on the series’ beloved action-platforming gameplay to iPhone and iPad for the first time.”

Super Mario Run will be compatible with devices running iOS 8 or later, and will launch in 151 countries in English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, and traditional Chinese.
