Facebook is on a quest to cure your boredom with its newest standalone app that is focused solely on events.

Available only on iOS (for now), the new app dubbed Events from Facebook helps you find things to do in your area by giving you a filtered feed of what your friends are up to.

[contextly_auto_sidebar] Users can also browse event recommendations. Searches can be filtered by time and interests. You can also explore events on an interactive map and search for events in any city if you’re planning a trip.

The Events app has a screen that organizes all of your events into a calendar view. Just tap it at the bottom to see events you’ve RSVP’d to or said you’re interested in. It’s not a full-featured calendar app, but it keeps you on top of your FB commitments.

Facebook says it plans to bring the app to Android later this year. You can download it for free right now on the App Store.
