Developers received a brand-new batch of betas from Apple this morning after the company released the fifth builds of iOS 10, watchOS 3 and tvOS 10, which bring a number of changes and performance improvements to Apple’s platforms.
The updates come just over a week after Apple dropped the fourth beta of iOS 10, which included more than 100 new emoji, new sounds for keyboard clicks, quicker animations and tons of other improvements. We can’t wait to see what improvements Apple has made this go-round.
The new beta builds can be downloaded directly from Apple’s Developer Center or via an over-the-air update on iPhone and iPad if the devices are already running the previous beta. Installing tvOS 10 beta 5 is a bit more complicated, but can be done without plugging your Apple TV into a Mac thanks to a simple workaround.
The release notes for the beta updates don’t mention any big UI changes or added features. However, they do contain a lengthy list of bug fixes and improvements that Apple is still working to resolve before the public release this fall.
Unveiled at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, iOS 10 is being touted as one of Apple’s biggest updates ever. The new mobile operating system brings a completely fresh look to iPhone and iPad lock screens, as well as big changes to Siri, Messages, Photos, Apple Music, Apple News and much more.
