Amazon will host its second annual Prime Day on Tuesday, July 12, the retail giant confirmed today. It promises to be the “biggest Amazon event ever,” with big discounts to be had worldwide on over 100,000 products.

During the first Prime Day in 2015, shoppers around the world ordered a staggering 398 items every second, and 34.4 million items in total, Amazon says. That made the sale even more popular than the discounts offered on Black Friday that year.

Now Amazon promises its next event will be even bigger. Just like last year, new deals from various product categories will roll around every five minutes for Prime members in the U.S., the U.K., Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, Belgium and Austria.

Amazon Prime Day pregame sales start July 5

To keep things exciting until then, Amazon has some warm-up discounts you can enjoy. Between July 5 and July 11, customers will be offered bundles like a 32-inch TV with an Amazon Fire Stick for $119.99.

If you aren’t already a Prime subscriber, you can take advantage of a 30-day free trial that will allow you to purchase items in the Prime Day sale. However, if you have been a Prime subscriber in the past, this won’t be available to you.

It’s anybody’s guess whether Amazon Prime Day will bring big discounts on Apple gear and accessories, but you can totally expect hot deals on all kinds of electronics. With any luck, Amazon will slash prices on its line of Echo smart speakers.
