After making its debut in November 2015, Adele’s third studio album 25 is now available for listening on Apple Music — in addition to Spotify, Amazon Prime, and Tidal.

The enormously popular 25, which has become the fastest-selling album of the twenty-first century, was not made available on streaming music services initially, as Adele argued at the time of its release that this represented a “disposable” way to listen to music.

“We love and respect Adele, as do her 24 million fans on Spotify,” a spokesperson for Spotify told Cult of Mac at the time. “We hope that she will give those fans the opportunity to enjoy 25 on Spotify alongside 19 and 21 very soon.”

Apple, for its part, reportedly shunned an offer to stock the physical CD in Apple Stores, and also declined to sponsor Adele’s world tour to the tune of $30 million. Adele previously became the first singer/songwriter to go double platinum on the iTunes Store, after her previous album was purchased more than 2 million times in less than a year.
