Twitch is giving users the ability to share the best moments from their favorite streamers. Its new tool, Clips, will showcase 30-second snippets without making viewers sit through an entire stream.

When your favorite streamer singlehandedly clutches a big win, you want to share it with friends who didn’t get a chance to see it live. But until now, the only way to do that was the send them a link to the entire stream, which could be several hours long.

This meant friends had to skip through the stream to find the highlight, but not with Twitch Clips. With just one click, Clips will save a snippet that consists of 25 seconds of video captured before you hit the button, and the five seconds that proceed it.

Clips will then present you with a URL, which will let you share the full 30-second snippet online. When friends click the link, they’ll be taken directly to the live stream if it’s still ongoing, or to the highlighted clip in a saved broadcast if it’s not.

The downside to Clips is that initially, only some partnered channels will provide the feature, and even then, it will only be available to “a portion” of viewers, Twitch says. However, over the coming weeks, Clips will rollout to all.
