If you love rose gold but hate yourself for even thinking about getting locked into Apple’s walled garden, you’re going to love Samsung’s new pink gold (not rose gold) color option for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.

Just look at how pretty it is!

Samsung says pink gold was chosen as it is “a natural color that provides a sense of comfort.” It is “skin-tone inspired,” and “intended to soothe and incorporate a touch of gentleness, radiance and sophistication to the smartphones’ design.”

Yes, it’s the biggest load of marketing BS you’re likely to read this week. Samsung’s pink gold was almost certainly inspired by Apple’s rose gold iPhones, but we have no complaints about that. It’s ideal for those who like this color option, but prefer Android and the Samsung brand.

And there are lots of reasons why you should prefer those options right now. The pink gold Galaxy S7 options are just as spectacular as the originals, with super-sharp Quad HD displays, wireless charging, water-resistance, and expandable storage.

You don’t get those things from Apple.

The pink gold Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are only available in South Korea for now, but Samsung promises that they will be making their way to other select markets “soon.”
