It’s been a hot minute since everyone’s favorite stealthily murderous parkour series last graced iOS devices, but Assassin’s Creed is back courtesy of a new Assassin’s Creed: Identity game, which has just launched worldwide.

Check out the trailer below:

The game was originally soft-launched way back in September 2014, when it was a free-to-play title, although it’s now been reconfigured as a $4.99 premium title for its proper international debut. I haven’t yet had the chance to dive in and play it at length, although it is worth noting you’ll need a constantly-on Internet connection to play.

Unlike previous titles, this one is being geared as the “first action RPG” of the franchise, in which you explore the Italian Renaissance timezone courtesy of your choice of Berserker, Shadow Blade, Trickster and Thief-class character. There’s plenty of opportunity to upgrade your stats, as well as choose outfits and weapons along the way — while evolving your Assassin from novice to master.

If you do download Assassin’s Creed: Identity make sure you leave your comments below. Hopefully I’ll have had some solid playing time by the point at which I pull together this week’s “Awesome Apps” feature for the weekend.
