How the official White House photographer uses his iPhone

Pete Souza, the Chief Official White House Photographer, just posted a huge album of all of the many wonderful shots he has taken with his iPhone over the last year.

Each of the photos come from Souza’s Instagram feed, and include behnd-the-scenes glimpses of the President, the First Family, and other White House luminaries in Washington, on Air Force One, and more.

Although Souza uses more than just an iPhone to take some shots, all of his square shots are taken with an iPhone, and processed with Hipstamatic:

My approach to my Instagram feed continues to be all square photos are taken with an iPhone, and full-frame horizontals and verticals are taken with a DSLR (usually a Canon 5DMark3, but I’ve also posted some from Sony, Nikon and Leica cameras).

The album earned a rare kudos from Apple CEO Tim Cook:
