Apple has released a new ad for iPhone 6s, focusing on its incredible new 3D Touch technology.

The 30-second video highlights the Peek and Pop gestures, and demonstrates the many ways in which that can be useful during everyday use.

In my review of the iPhone 6s, I noted how 3D Touch is the best reason to buy one of the latest iPhones. It changes the way you interact with a touchscreen, and no matter what you’re doing, 3D Touch can make it better or easier somehow.

One way it does that is with its wonderfully useful home screen shortcuts. Another is with Peek and Pop, which lets you preview messages, emails, maps, and more without having to jump into another app. Apple showcases this in its new iPhone 6s ad below.

Since iPhone 6s made its debut last month, a whole host of popular iOS apps from third-party developers have already started supporting 3D Touch, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, Evernote, Dropbox, and many, many more.

It’s far more than just a gimmick, then — which is more than I can say about Live Photos at this point.
