The whole point of rustic camping or any outdoor adventure is to unplug from the world. But your iPhone and all its apps are so darn useful to your active lifestyle, your idea of rustic still needs a place to recharge the battery.

SCOSCHE Industries has a portable battery pack to help keep things primitive, well for 2015 anyway. The goBAT 6000 can handle mud, water and dubious weather, and has the power to charge your smartphone three times.

The accessories company started out in car audio systems but has expanded into consumer technology, making chargers, cases, Bluetooth speakers, Lightning cables, headphones and other items. SCOSCHE is especially focused on accessories for Apple products, with mounts, cases, cords and devices that keep the battery out of the red.

The goBAT 6000 looks as tough as its name sounds. Maybe because SCOSCHE says the goBAT withstood military drop tests, I’m reminded of something a soldier might carry, like as a means to call in an air strike or blow the front door off an enemy compound.

It will do neither, but the exterior does appear to be battle-ready. It is IP68 waterproof and dustproof, able to withstand a lot of knocking around and submersion in water up to 3 meters.

It contains 6000mAh of power and features a Perfect Charge USB port which auto detects the fastest charge possible for any connected device.

The goBAT 6000 comes fully charged in the package and ready to use. It has a metal loop that attach to a carabiner to clip onto backpacks and tents.

Comes in black and hunter orange and retails for $69.99.
