iPhone 6s teardown reveals smaller battery, heavier display

The new iPhone 6s looks identical to last year’s model, but there are some major differences in the hardware, as revealed by the gadget gurus at iFixit, who have already torn apart Jony Ive’s fabulous new creation.

The biggest change is the hefty new 3D Touch display, which weighs 15 grams more than the iPhone 6’s screen. iFixit’s teardown video also takes a closer look at the iPhone 6s’ new FaceTime camera, improved Touch ID sensor and more.

iFixit even X-rayed they new Taptic Engine to find out what makes it tick.
