Apple’s new 3D Touch technology will work even if you cover your display with a protective screen, says Apple’s senior VP of marketing, Phil Schiller.

Because the new iPhone 6s can sense the amount of pressure exerted on its display, some Apple fans have worried that the new Peek and Pop technology won’t work with screen protectors. To get to the bottom of the issue, 3D Techtronics emailed Schiller and got an answer straight from Apple that there’s nothing to worry about.

Here’s what Phil said:

3D Touch will be available exclusively on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus once the devices launch on September 25th. The new technology will provide users with a new surface-level UI that gives shortcuts to various functions on the home screen and within various apps.
