The iPhone 6s Plus is less than two weeks away but, like last year, photos of the larger iPhone have been decidedly scarce compared to its 4.7-inch baby brother.
That appears to have changed thanks to two new photos leaked from supply chain sources in Taiwan that show off the iPhone 6s Plus display and internal Force Touch component.
Check them out below.
Beyond the Force Touch sensor visible in the second picture, there’s little to physically distinguish the iPhone 6s Plus from last year’s iPhone 6 Plus. Of course, given that incremental “s” iPhones tend to focus on internal rather than external tweaks, that’s of little surprise.
We have heard that the iPhone 6s Plus will be slightly thicker than its predecessor, be reinforced to avoid a Bendgate sequel, and will feature a 2,750-mAh battery (instead of last year’s 2,910-mAh iPhone 6 Plus), although we’ll have to wait until next week for proof of this.
Either way, having owned an iPhone 6 Plus this year, I think I’m going to opt for a regular 6s come launch day. I love the 6 Plus, but I’ve come to the conclusion that the 5.5-inch form factor is marginally too big for me.
Have you decided on a next-gen iPhone yet? From the 6s and 6s Plus to the rumored 4-inch iPhone 6c, you may well have a broader range of options than ever here in 2015. Leave your comments below.
