Apple is so rich, it could buy all the gold in Fort Knox

We all know Apple has more money than a dozen Scrooge McDucks. But exactly how do the massive Apple cash reserves translate into real-world terms?

To help put this astonishing pile of cash into perspective, we crafted this handy video guide.

    MBL Teams?

    • <I get paid 85 bucks each hour for working an online job at home. I never thought it was possible but my best friend earns $10000 /monthly doing this and she told me about it. It's a great opportunity for everyone…

Love those Major Baseball League teams!

Apple’s cash pile is worth practically nothing to Wall Street because it doesn’t change Apple’s quarterly doom and gloom status. In fact, Apple’s premium value is far less than many companies that have cash piles only a tenth of what Apple has. It appears Apple doesn’t know how to leverage that cash pile at all, so it’s pretty much a wasted asset.

I’d be surprised if there was any gold left in Fort Knox. It’s probably been used up long time ago to build some weapons arsenal or given away to foreign oil nations.

You must be a hoot at children’s birthday parties.

Hmmm… Let’s see, an interesting initial statement, backed up by zero facts and general trolling… Adding in your username and pseudo-political comment at the end… yep, just as I thought… You comment has less value than then electrons used to produce it.

Seriously though, I don’t care how sales are doing in any company – that kind of money is pretty far from a wasted asset, in WallStreet’s eyes or anyone’s with an ounce of sense.

On top of that – ‘Doom and Gloom’ stems from analysts and WallStreet expectations (numbers they magically make up and expect companies to hold to). Dell had it right by taking the company private so it could stop cow-toeing to clueless people.

That money is better sitting where it is instead of blowing it on useless acquisitions (I could name some companies that have made some boneheaded moves recently, but I’ll just say I’m pretty sure Apple could have done Apple Music without Beats.

…Some say there is no gold on that facility…

How long until they have enough to buy all the gold bullion in the cellar of the NY Federal Reserve building? That’s where the big pile of (both US and foreign nations) gold is stored.

Not a big thing; there is no gold left in Fort Knox, they already sold it all to Asians.

  • Hein S

Apple should give more to Charity.
