It’s no secret that Booq, the creators of high-end computer bags and backpacks, draws its design inspiration from snakes. Cobra, Python, Viper and Mamba are just some of its product lines and if we get past our terror of snakes, we can respect they are strong, efficient and flexible much like bags constructed by Booq.

Snakes also unhinge their jaws to consume things larger than their bodies and so Booq, considering the 15-inch MacBook Pro plus all the necessary gear a professional carries daily for work, has added the Boa saddle to its line of stylish bags.

The saddle bag has a laptop compartment plus plenty of storage for books, documents and other everyday carry items.

Booq introduced the new bag today on its website for $195 and will begin shipping orders on the saddle bag by July 15.

The Boa saddle has a laptop compartment that will keep your MacBook free of moisture and scratches, plus a large main compartment that can hold books, documents and a water bottle. It will maintain its mid-size shape and not get all fat like a snake after a sizable meal.

The shoulder bag, shaped like a cowboy’s saddle bag and designed to rest comfortably on the body, is constructed with weatherproof ballistic nylon, leather handles and exterior pockets on the front and back for secure storage.

Like all Booq bags, the saddle will also have the company’s trademark Terraling serial number that can help in a search in case the bag is lost in transit.
