An upcoming mobile game will throw players into the struggle immediately following the death of the Emperor in Return of the Jedi.

Star Wars: Uprising, which is due out later this year for iOS and Android, is a real-time strategy game that picks up after the destruction of the second Death Star at the end of the third film as the decapitated Empire struggles to maintain control over the galaxy.

Check out the announcement trailer below.

The trailer’s conflict is one of information: Empire officials are spreading a line that everything is fine, and the Rebel victory at the Battle of Endor is just a nasty rumor. Meanwhile, a Han Solo-esque upstart with a holoprojector is going around giving the instant replay of the ultimate weapon blowing up. It’s a cool idea, and it sets up the game in a way that makes sense.

Uprising‘s official website shows a few of the characters and locations you can expect to see in the game, including Cloud City and Hoth as well as Burnin Konn, which the site describes as “a mining colony for chromium and other rare ores” and “a mostly uninhabitable and entirely inhospitable wasteland.” We haven’t seen this planet in any of the films, but it’s come up in supplemental material like the role-playing game by Wizards of the Coast.

This game will feature real-time co-op and character customization. It’ll be out this fall ahead of The Force Awakens, the anticipated seventh film.
