If you can’t get enough of Marvel’s Agent Peggy Carter, played to perfection by Haley Atwell, or Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow, broodingly acted by Kit Harrington, here’s a new movie that stars both of them: Testament of Youth.

It’s a deeply romantic period piece set in Britain during the first world war, based on a memoir by Vera Brittain, a young woman who overcame the serious sexism of her day to attend Oxford University, only to have her studies interrupted by the war.

Kit Harrington plays Brittain’s love interest, Roland Leighton, who — along with Brittain’s brother Edward and his two close friends — is sent along to the front lines of the first world war, a truly horrific conflict that changed the lives of too many young people of the day.

Alicia Vikander stars as Brittain, while Hayley Atwell stars as Hope Milroy, Brittain’s sister.

Certainly these are very different roles than the ones the two actors are currently garnering nerd love for, but the film looks pretty splendid, if you ask me.

The film is directed by James Kent and written by Juliette Towhidi, and will release in the U.S. on June 5, 2015.
