I pretty much love Apple and Lego in equal measure, so the idea of somehow combining the two is never going to fail to win my approval.
Assuming that I’m not the only person to feel this way, allow me to introduce the Brik Case: a fantastic Kickstarter campaign intended to raise the cash needed to manufacture a MacBook case that can be decorated with Lego bricks, to create any design of your choosing.
The case will easily let you snap on Legos, or any of the numerous third-party Lego knockoffs, which include Mega Bloks, PixelBlocks, KRE-O, and K’NEX Bricks. As you can see from the above animated gif, there’s plenty of potential for creativity, and unlike the majority of notebook customizations you can change the design whenever you want.
Brik Case’s creators are looking to raise $30,000 in crowdfunding, which will allow them to cover the costs for the different moods they need to produce. The studded case will set pledgees back just $35, which seems a pretty good deal, and you could be in a position to affix it to your Mac as early as August.
