Let’s face it: crushing disobedient flesh into a Dolce & Gabbana corset dress is easier than getting into one of their runway shows.
So the dynamic fashion duo has decided use the iPhone to broadcast 2011 women’s winter looks at two shows during fashion week in Milan. You can follow them with your iPhone here or, if you don’t have an iPhone try your buffering luck with Facebook, too.
iPhone fashionista followers won’t get that neck nasty cramp caused by gazing upward from first-row seats like D&G darlings J-Lo or Victoria Beckham, but you may have to get up early or sneak a peek at work.
Their first iPhone fashion show, D&G, will stream live Thursday, February 25 at 3 p.m. CET, that’s 6 a.m. in San Francisco or 9 a.m in New York.
Their principle line Dolce & Gabbana streams at an even less likely 1 p.m. CET on Sunday, February 28 — that’s 4 a.m. PST and 7 a.m. EST.
If the virtual catwalk catches on, the usual trans-atlantic bickering over the calendar and prime show slots during fashion week might change.
Instead of designers battling over lunch slots (before journalists and buyers are tired, cranky and desperately seeking liquid refreshment or after they’ve been jolted into attention by a post-prandial espresso), the hot spots may be later in the day for better visibility in other time zones.
