Back in the skeuomorphic days of iOS 6, we were big fans of Auxo, an innovative iPhone app switcher that supercharged the iOS multitasking bar with live app previews, gestures, settings toggles, and more.

When iOS 7 was released, Auxo was updated to support Apple’s newer, flatter operating system, but it’s only now that Auxo creator Sentry_NC is getting around to update it to iOS 8.

While there are no major details about what, if anything, will change in the iOS 8 version of Auxo, we do know it’s coming, thanks to a little teaser vine posted to Sentry_NC’s account captioned “Guess who’s back.”

There’s little information otherwise, except Sentry_NC noting that the app had to be completely rewritten for iOS 8, which makes it unlikely that the next version of Auxo will be a free update for previous owners.

As with the original, you will need a jailbroken iPhone or iPad running iOS 8 to run the next version of Auxo when it is released. Luckily that’s easier than ever to achieve in iOS 8: here’s how to jailbreak your device running anything from iOS 8 to iOS 8.1.2.
