If you happen to be one of our few Chinese readers, good news! Apple has just announced that LTE-equipped versions of the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 2 will be coming to China later this week!

Here’s the official announcement:

Apple® today announced that models of iPad Air™ 2 and iPad mini™ 3 with cellular networking will be available in China starting this week. TD-LTE and FDD-LTE standards, as well as TD-SCDMA, DC-HSDPA, HSPA+ and other fast networks, are all available in a single model, giving iPad Air 2 customers in China the ability to stay connected on advanced cellular data networks in China and around the world so they can go more places and do more things.

Prices for the iPad Air 2 with WLAN + Cellular Models start at 4,488 RMB, which is around $727, about $100 premium on the price of a 16GB iPad Air 2 WiFi + Cellular in the States. As for the iPad 3, the price starts there at 3,788 RMB, or around $614, which is about $115 higher than the iPad mini 3 with WiFi + Cellular’s asking price in the United States.
