With just under five hours to go before Apple kicks off its iPhone event, the Apple Online Store is now offline in preparation for new products. When it returns, you can expect to see two new iPhones and a brand new wearable decorating its pages.

Apple Online Store downtime is nothing out of the ordinary on a day like this. It traditionally goes offline while Apple updates it to add its latest products, and it will return shortly after today’s event concludes. If you’re looking forward to what’s coming from the Cupertino company, waiting for the store’s return only adds to the excitement.

It’s unlikely you’ll actually be able to buy anything today, however. We don’t expect the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 to go on sale until September 19, while the 5.5-inch model and the iWatch may not arrive until early next year. In recent years, Apple hasn’t even been taking pre-orders ahead of the launch.

The company may have some surprises up its sleeve, however, so we’ll have to wait and see what the event brings. It’s expected to be one of the most significant Apple events in recent history, so if you can, be sure to keep an eye on Cult of Mac, where you’ll find live coverage directly from the Flint Center in Cupertino.
