From rap to riches: Mary J. Blige & Tony Bennett will play iTunes Festival London

Apple has updated its lineup for next month’s iTunes Festival London, adding several new names including Tony Bennett and Mary J. Blige, demonstrating just how wide-ranging the festival is in terms of its music.

The festival kicks off in September, taking place at the Roundhouse in London. As always, tickets are 100 percent free, although attendees will need to win competitions (organized by Apple and local partners) in order to get hold of them.

Don’t worry if you’re unable to attend live, however, since music lovers can watch performances either live or on-demand using their iOS devices, on their computer via iTunes, or in HD on an Apple TV.

To date, more than 430 artists have performed in front of 430,000 fans at the iTunes Festival — with tens of millions of music lovers have watched performances online. The event has previously played host to Coldplay, Sir Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, and Katy Perry.
