If you use Twitter a lot on your iPhone, you’ve probably heard of the Tweetbot app, a popular iOS Twitter client that was recently redesigned from the ground up for iOS 7.
Now in its third incarnation, Tweetbot 3 has just received a big update, adding a fistful of handy new features — including support for posting and viewing multiple images (although Tweetbot’s creators point out that these won’t show up on streaming timelines until Twitter adds support).
The app update also means that image detail views show the corresponding tweet when relevant, while Instagram videos are marked with a new “play” icon to make the user interface clearer.
Finally the app features the expected assortment of unspecified bug fixes, alongside Spanish localization.
Tweetbot is a great Twitter client, and speaking from experience I would highly recommend giving it a go. The $4.99 app is available for download from the App Store for all devices running iOS 7.0 and above.
One word of caution, however: This particular update is currently for iPhone and iPod touch users only. While the standalone Tweetbot for iPad app was updated earlier this month, it added only bug fixes and fixed icon gloss for iOS 6, rather than any of the innovations featured in this update. No word on when iPad users can expect to catch up, but we’ll keep you updated.
