Have Siri Play Secretary For You [iOS Tips]

Siri Voicemail

Sure, you can ask Siri to call one of your contacts; it’s one of the ways I make calls handsfree in the car. Simply say, “Call Kim” (or the name of the contact you’d like to call–you may not know Kim), and Siri will place a voice call to that Contact.

Did you know, however, that Siri can handle even more complexity? Yes, yes it can.

Sometimes you’ll get a phone call that you can’t answer right away or maybe you missed it entirely.

Get Siri in on the act here. Just tell Siri, “Return missed call” and the personal digital assistant will find the last call in your Missed Calls list and give that number a ring back. Slick.

voicemail Siri

If you’re in hands-free mode, you might not be able to tap the Phone app and see if you have Voicemail. Siri can help with this as well. All you need to do is say, “Do I have a voicemail?” Siri will check your visual voicemail and let you know if you have a message, and who it’s from. You can tap on the result to go to your voicemail directly from the Siri screen.

Siri makes everything just a bit easier, no? Share your favorite Siri tricks in the comments below.
