Cat Saves Humanity From Aliens In New Game

ALIENS ARE DESTROYING HUMANITY.
CAT MUST STOP THEM. WITH MIND BULLETS.
CAT MUST REMEMBER: AIM FOR THE BRAINS.
CAT MUST SURVIVE.

Seriously, do you need more from the press release than that? You do? Really?

Ok, fine. Ignoring the fact that you already knew your cat had mind-bullets, Team Chaos announced Wednesday that its latest free-to-play iOS game, Cat vs. Aliens, is live and in the App Store.

Cat vs. Aliens is a simple and free arcade-style game from the makers of Dragon Academy, Flappy Stache and, well, SHARK PUNCH (caps required), and promises to be a funny time waster of the best sort.

Team Chaos Creative Director Trent Polack says Cat vs Aliens is “basically what you’d get if you took the mechanics of a bubble shooter and combined it with Space Invaders and then took some of the features of Dragon Academy and, you know, put them all in the same game. And then made that game about a telekinetic cat defending humanity from glorby blobby brain-aliens.”

I mean, duh, right?

So, basically, you steer a pink cat along the bottom of your iPhone screen, using its highly-realistic mind-bullets slingshot-style to destroy the aliens that drop down from above, piling up score multipliers and power-ups with aplomb.

Oh, and when you charge Cat up good and proper, you can unleash perhaps the best-named super-power ever, The Purricane. Take that, Space Invaders.

Cat vs. Aliens is a fast paced, arcade-tastic free game available on the App Store right now, so why don’t you give it a whirl?
