AT&T is giving new and existing customers a $100 credit when they activate a new postpaid line for your smartphone, tablet, wireless home phone, or MiFi device. The offer starts today and ends on March 31.

Customers must remain active and in good standing for 45 days, AT&T says, and the $100 credit will then be applied to their account within 3 bill cycles.

The promotion is clearly an attempt to persuade new and existing customers to choose AT&T over its rivals as competition heats up. T-Mobile in particular has been giving consumers some very compelling users to switch with its Un-carrier plans and the offer of eating up any termination fees they might have to pay to switch.

Earlier this month, AT&T ran another promotion that offered T-Mobile customers up to $450 to switch and trade in their old handset.
