If you write anything longer than a paragraph, then Gabe Weatherhead’s new Bookmarker Macros for Editorial are going to get you pretty excited. They let you highlight any section of a text document and save it as a bookmark.

The Bookmarker uses the amazing Editorial app, which looks You can create as many as you like, and then you can browse them all (by title – you can add one when you make the bookmark).

Tapping on a saved bookmark opens the relevant document, scrolls to the bookmarked text and selects it. This could be used for plain and simple bookmarking of text snippets, but it’s way more useful as an editor’s tool, letting you highlight a section and go back to it later, pre-selected and ready for tweaking.

It seems that the possibilities for customizing Editorial are almost endless. Also, check out the new look of the app in Gabe’s screencast, which is using an as-yet-unreleased beta version.
