Flickr Launches Super-Simple Photo Books

Flickr takes another step towards “being awesome again” with a new book printing service, built right in to Flickr itself. And it’s so simple that you can have even a pretty long book put together in minutes.

To make a book, you just pick one of your Flickr sets and the book-maker launches. You can view the pages as spreads or as a storyboard, and depending on the view you can either drag photos to reorder them, or click to add or remove a white border around the pictures.

And that’s it. No words. No filters, just you photos in an 11 x 8.5-inch dust-jacketed, hard-cover book. A 20-page book is $35, with extra pages coming in at another fifty cents each.

Book layouts are saved in your Flickr for re-printing or tweaking, and the book will be sent to your door. And yes, there are plenty of book printing services out there that already hook into your Flickr stream, but this one is both simpler and more built in.
