Following yesterday’s somewhat underwhelming release of the Ace Power, the first iOS 7 compatible controller, accessory guru Logitech has gotten into the action, unveiling the Powershell game controller for iPhone 5, 5s, 5c and fifth-gen iPod touch.

It looks a lot like the Moga Ace Power, except more like a gaming extension of your iPhone than an iPhone sandwiched in the middle of an Xbox 360 controller. Plugging into the Lighting port of your iOS device, the PowerShell adds a D-pad, shoulder buttons and face buttons, but does not feature the Moga’s (possibly superfluous) dual analogue sticks.

Like the Ace Power, the PowerShell is also a battery case, boasting a 1500mAh battery that will extend your gaming time twofold. It requires iOS 7, and can be used right now with games programmed to support physical controllers, including Asphalt 8, Bastion, Dead Trigger 2 and Oceanhorn.

The price for the PowerShell? Again identical to the Ace Power: $99.99. It’ll go on sale today at Apple’s retail stores, and see wider release across the country before the holidays.
