Spotify for iOS has today been handed another new update with several nice improvements. In addition to adding artist tour details, it brings a much-improved search function, support for the Japanese language, and lots of bug fixes.

Within an artist page, you can now scroll down to find details about upcoming tour dates, thanks to data provided by Songkick. You’ll see the tour date and location, and you can tap it for further information, such as details on supporting artists. Here you can also buy tickets to the gig.

You’ll also find a much-improved search function, which promises instant results and the ability to search playlists and user profiles (finally!), and fixes for many bugs.

The latest Spotify update is available to download from the App Store now. As always, the app is free to download, but you’ll need a Spotify Premium subscription at $9.99 per month to use it.
