Google has updated its Google Maps apps for Android and iOS to add real-time incident reports from the Waze community. This means that when Waze users — or “Wazers” as they like to be called — report accidents, construction, road closures, and other delays, the alerts will be displayed inside Google Maps as well as Waze.

“No one likes getting stuck in traffic,” Google says in a new post on its Google Maps blog. “That’s why the Waze and Google Maps teams are working together to harness the power of Google technology and the passion of the Waze community to make it easier to navigate your daily life.”

This is the first sign of Waze integration in Google Maps since Google acquired the social mapping service back in June, but this is by no means a one-way partnership. While Google Maps has received Waze alerts, the Waze app has been given Google Search, providing Wazers with even more search results when they’re navigating.

What’s more, the Waze Map Editor now includes Google Street View and satellite imagery to “build out the map and make it easier to correct map errors reported by the community.”

Waze alerts will soon appear inside Google Maps for Android and iOS in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Switzerland, the U.K., and the U.S.
