Moleskine Notebook Transforms Into Analog Camera Accessory For iPhone

It’s hard to see why the folks at Barcelona-based Honest&Smile built this crazy contraption into a Moleskine notebook, but that doesn’t make it any less neat — after all, Doc Brown built a time machine into a DeLorean. When closed, it looks like any other overpriced book of blank paper. When opened, it reveals a kind of analog Instagram playground.

It is, as they say, all done with mirrors. There’s a cutout for your iPhone (4/S, or 5 with a case) and a slot for an included mirror. Using these two strategically-placed items you can snap photos that mix foreground and background, or large and small, using the mirror to include odd elements in your photos. The book also comes with three colored filters which can be used to tint the images.

And you can still write on the book’s pages.

It seems that the inspiration for this probably came from someone at Moleskine asking someone at Honest&Smile to collaborate on a project. However it came about, the book is available in Spain, in the U.S and in Europe in general, from the links below. It runs at around €30.
